Heartline signs with Lamp
Just over a year old, God is doing some great things through Heartline. The Prattville, AL based trio was formed out of their home church at the time - Prattville Community Church.
Through prayer and guidance this music minister, church pianist, and choir member felt God giving them all a similar vision. A year later the vision is clear - - they want to have the heart of God.
The group consists of Debby Rawlinson, Brian Hooks, and Christy Chatman.
They will go in the studio to record their debut Lamp recording with veteran producer, Mike Pillow this December with an anticipated release date of early 2009.

Lamp Music Welcome’s Zach Flowers and Revived
Seventeen year old Zach Flowers has been a frequent addition to many Gospel Concert events throughout the southeast US.
Known for their live band, high-energy ministry events and original material, Zach has recently signed with Lamp Music's Southern Gospel Psalm division.
"It's such an inspiration to see young people serving the Lord," says producer, Mike Pillow. He continues, "Not only does his ministry have a fresh new sound, but an intense desire to minister."
Tentative street date has been set for early 2009.

Higher Hope Is Now A Quartet
Whitesburg, GA: Now in their fourth year of music ministry , popular Lamp artist - Higher of Hope of LaGrange, GA is exploring a new musical direction as a quartet.
With new bass singer Daniel Byers, of Blairsville, Ga, HH has been sharing their new sound for the past few weeks.
The group is slated to begin a new project for Lamp in December. This will be the first project to demonstrate the new sound.
Group manager, Jenna Boyd recently commented about the transition, "We are so excited about moving into the fuller, richer sound of a mixed quartet. Danny has so much to bring to the table being a fine Christian and a talented bass vocalist. With a big heart for people, he has so much to share with our audiences. We are thrilled about his decision to be a part of our ministry."

LeFevre Pianist, Mark Fuller finishes up tracks on Christmas Project
Lamp Music Group is pleased to announce the completion of tracks for a brand new Christmas project release slated for release in October 2008.
Mark Fuller is well known for accompanying Eva Mae LeFevre for the past decade. Where he has become a familiar personality alongside the gospel legend at many events each year including numerous Gaither Homecoming events.
Mark previous solo project has been well received and is frequently aired on XM radio satelite.
Lamp also has recently released a mainstream project for Mr. Fuller entitled, "Memories."

Enlisted and Mercy Road Join Forces
am Atcheson and Joey Saxton of Lamp Recording Artist - Enlisted would like to take this opportunity to welcome their newest members, David and Debbie Mitchell. After much prayer and direction from the Lord, David and Debbie will be making their transition from the well known Southern Gospel Trio, Mercy Road to Enlisted effective immediately. After Stacey Carter, former Soprano with Enlisted, and Arlene Sizemore, former Alto with Mercy Road decided to leave Enlisted and Mercy Road, the remaining members felt the Lord was directing them to come together as one group. David and Debbie made the difficult decision after five years to dissolve Mercy Road and become members of Enlisted.
Enlisted and Mercy Road would like to personally thank Stacey Carter and Arlene Sizemore for their contributions and sacrifices made for the cause of Jesus Christ.
Enlisted will be filling all bookings that have been scheduled for Mercy Road in 2009.

Southern Gospel Psalms welcomes - LifeSong
The refreshing new trio of young men from Madison, FL - - Lifesong has recently been added to the Lamp Music Group Southern Gospel Psalms division.
Their style is definitely Southern Gospel and according group spokesperson, Bryant Thigpen they have a unique goal. "LifeSong is a trio of young people, ages 17-25, that have a heart to reach the younger generation with the style of southern gospel music"
Veteran producer, Mike Pillow recently commented on the addition, "I am really excited to see young people that are true to their roots stylistically." He continues, "in addition to some classics they have also included some dynamic original material. They are definitely the face of the next generation of Southern Gospel!"
The street date for their debut project is tentatively slated for summer 2009.

Patriot Quartet finds a new home at Lamp!
Lamp Music Group welcomes The Patriot Quartet of Salvisa, KY to their label family.
The Patriot quartet has been sharing their unique blend of traditional male quartet harmonies mixed with a strong patriotic theme throughout the US since their inception in 2000.
"I'm really impressed," says Lamp Music's Mike PIllow. "The mix between traditional gospel quartet and patriotic material is a wonderful concept and has surely opened the door for them to share their music in many diverse places."
They were recently cutting tracks for their new project under the direction of veteran producer, Mike PIllow.

11 Year Old Logan Smith is added to NQC Main Stage and other NQC events
The young singing phenomenon Logan Smith has recently been added to the Thursday evening line-up.
Lamp Music’s youngest recording artist has already appeared at numerous Gaither Homecoming Concert events and has received an unreal response.
He will appear this year in Louisville during the thursday evening Gaither program. He will also appear at an afternoon artist spotlight event.
“I’ve worked with hundreds of artists in my 23 year career,” says Lamp president Mike Pillow. “It’s awesome to see the Lord open so many doors for this young man. It’s been a pleasure to work with him and produce all of his material.”

The Atkinsons, are known for their exceptional ministry work over the past 8 years with Ricky Atkinson and Compassion. The award winning husband and wife have been nominated for numerous awards over the years and helped to create a unique vocal blend for RAC that can still be heard on their top 20 song "One More Time."
With the year 2007 a new door has opened for the couple as God has transitioned their ministry to something completely different from their past music ministry.
Samuel shares, "Over the past couple of years God had been dealing with us about a different kind of music ministry." He continues, "We are very involved in our local church music. Our new ministry allow us to share our music in new ways, and yet allow us more time to be involved at home."

Lamp Music Artist Bruce Holcombe Goes Home To Be With The Lord
Bruce Holcombe had sustained serious injuries while doing volunteer roofing work at one of their supporting churches in the Savannah, GA area. The accident occured on 11/15. He had been at Memorial Hospital in Savanna, GA since the accident occured until his passing on 11/28.
Rev. Bruce was a founder of the popular Lamp Music trio The Holcombes, and he was also known for his profound songwriting, singing, and energetic preaching at numerous camp-meetings and church services throughout the southeast.
Funeral arrangements are as follows: Viewing on friday night 11/30 6-9pm est at the Faulkville Baptist Church. Service will be saturday 12/1 at 2pm at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Fair Haven Funeral Home in Garden City, GA.
The Family has also shared that there was not a life insurance policy on Rev. Bruce. Friends and family have already established a trust fund with Wachovia Bank. Donations can be made at any Wachovia Branch nationwide.

Lamp Music Group of Whitesburg, GA is pleased to announce the addition of the Spoken 4 quartet to their Gospel Heritage Roster.
Spoken 4, although a relatively new name, includes members whose resumes read like a Southern Gospel History Book. Having a rich pedigree in Southern Gospel music, the group members include several award winners, Singing News Fan Award recipients, and even Grammy Award Winners. Even so, it can be truly said that the first thing that comes out of the mouth of managers Cecil Stringer and Jon Charles Taggart is their desire to serve God through the ministry of music.
Since January of 2007 the group has quickly become a regular favorite at Branson's Silver Dollar City. They all feel at home at the world famous theme park, since most of group members have been performing there full-time as members of the Cumberland Boys over the last several years.
Spoken 4 will be making their first NQC appearance in the Artist Spotlight Showcase on Tuesday September 11th.
Group personell includes: Cecil Stringer-Bass, Jeremy Wilkerson-Baritone, Jon Charles Taggart-Lead, Thomas Griffin-Tenor, and the legendary Tommy Fairchild as pianist.
Lamp is currently projecting a late summer/early fall release of the debut project for Spoken 4.
